You’ll Need:


  1. 1 package chocolate cake mix plus ingredients called for on the box
  2. 1 c sweetened shredded coconut
  3. 1/2 c chopped pecans
  4. 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  5. 1/2 c butter melted
  6. 2 1/2 c powdered sugar
  7. 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  8. 1/4 tsp. salt
  9. 2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
  10. Chocolate ice cream optional


How to Make:


  1. Preheat oven to 350° and grease a 9x13” pan with cooking spray.
  2. Prepare cake batter according to package directions.
  3. Sprinkle your coconut and peans onto the bottom of prepared pan, then spread your cake mix over the top, set aside.
  4. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and salt.
  5. Beat with a mixer until combined and dollop the mixture over the cake and then spread out.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and bake for about 50 minutes or until center is set.
  7. Serve warm with ice cream if desired.
